Autumn Walk In Junior Infants

Junior Infants have been very busy learning all about autumn. On Thursday we went on an autumn walk to the local woods. On our way there we saw our new school.

We noticed the leaves on the trees changing colour from green to yellow, red, orange and brown. We also found some blackberries and hazelnuts.

We really enjoyed our Autumn walk.

Off we go

We found lots of autumn leaves.

Look at the blackberries we found.

We found hazelnuts too.

Learning about fire in senior infants

We are learning about lots of jobs. We learned about firemen.

Investigations in senior infants

The dentist looks after our teeth. We need to look after our teeth also by knowing the drinks that are bad for our teeth.

Learning about light in senior infants

We looked at the world of light. We made lovely wheels and watched how they looked when we spun them.
Then we looked at the biggest star, the sun. The sun makes shadows. We learned that when the sun is high in the sky we have a very short shadow but as the sun goes down or rises we have a much longer shadow.
